My Hope for You
I provide a safe and compassionate virtual or in-person space to be in service of your healing and growth, through expressive, experiential & action-based methods such as Somatic Experiencing, Sculpting, Art, Psychodrama, EMDR and Inner Child work. Together, we will address unhelpful patterns, whether they appear as addictive behaviors, emotional struggles, or relationship challenges, and explore how trauma and adverse experiences may affect your mind, emotions, and body. My goal is to guide you toward meaningful change, moving beyond adaptive survival strategies and into a life of connection, fulfillment, and authenticity.
You may have developed an addiction to alcohol or drugs to help you cope/soothe; or perhaps you find yourself numb and dissociated with Netflix or TikTok scrolling. Oftentimes, we find these 'medicators' help us not feel and/or escape current internal and external situations/experiences/feelings. When you place substances/processes/alcohol down, you may have become a workaholic, and it's getting in the way. Or maybe you may have found yourself becoming very codependent - or extremely hyperindependent. Some have challenges in making/keeping friendships, struggles in completing tasks you used to have no challenges with, or perhaps you struggle with ‘feelings’ or you are told ‘you are numb’ and ‘you don’t do feelings’. I have a passion for working with those who are experiencing challenges that were less than nurturing, and those experiences often appear cognitively, emotionally, and within the body - and through an array of adaptive survival strategies. Oftentimes, symptoms that show up for those experiencing the effects of trauma and other adverse experiences often feel like restlessness, being on edge, spacing out, sadness, daydreaming, feeling numb, and more. I wish to hold space with you and be in service as you heal those wounds, while also helping guide you to see perhaps behaviors that you wish to change that are no longer serving you.I offer virtual weekly appts, and then 2 & 3-day Immersives (Intensives) and Workshops. Intensives allow us to tap into the deeper inner world of you without having to re-connect through 53-minute sessions weekly. This also gives you more freedom to go out and live your life. I also am available to facilitate group workshops and intensives. Have a small group of friends who wish to deeply connect and explore what is getting in the way of them living their lives? We can create together an experiential experience where this can happen.
I know reaching out for help or guidance can be a big deal, I’m happy you made the first step. It can be challenging to choose a therapist, and sometimes a bit awkward, so I wish to help make this a little simpler. I offer a 20-minute free consult for us to get to know each other briefly and see if I might be able to help you.
