FAQ

  • How do I get started?

The easiest way is to reach out through my contact form. From there, we’ll schedule a consultation or first appointment and take it one step at a time. I step into the belief of gentleness and getting to you know, and you getting to know me. Send me an email so we can connect for a consultation call for 15-minutes.

  • What if I feel nervous about starting therapy?

It makes sense to feel some hesitation before beginning therapy. Opening up about your story, your pain, or your patterns can feel vulnerable. Many people share that they worry about saying “the wrong thing” or not knowing where to start. We move at your pace — you don’t have to have it all figured out. We’ll work together to create a space where you can feel safe, supported, and not alone in the process.

  • What types of therapy do you offer?

I specialize in trauma therapy using experiential, somatic, and in-action approaches. This includes methods such as EMDR, psychodrama, expressive arts, and body-based techniques. I also offer trauma-focused intensives for individuals seeking deeper work in a shorter period of time.

  • How is experiential therapy different from talk therapy?

Traditional talk therapy focuses mainly on conversation and insight. Experiential therapy brings in the body, creativity, and action-based techniques, which can access parts of experience that words alone can’t always reach. This helps clients move beyond “just talking” to actually processing and integrating their experiences.

  • Do you see clients in-person or online?

Both but with a caveat. I see clients virtually throughout Colorado and Florida, and offer in-person intensives in the Boulder, Lafayette, and Denver area - and Florida by appt.

  • I’m interested in a trauma intensive, but I’m scared it might be overwhelming.

That’s a common fear and it makes sense! Intensives are designed to go deep, but they are also built around safety, pacing, and resourcing. Before we ever begin, we spend time preparing and making sure you have tools to stay grounded. We move at a pace that feels manageable, with lots of check-ins along the way. Many clients who were initially anxious about doing an intensive later share that it was one of the most meaningful steps they’ve taken toward healing.
